Gidauniyar Alheri Microfinance Bank Ltd was incorporated in Nigeria and duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2008, commencing operations the same year. We are licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to provide a full range of microfinance services, with a special focus on empowering the Women, SME’s and economically active poor.
The bank has been fully recapitalized to meet the CBN’s minimum capital requirement for microfinance banks. In addition, we have been re-engineered and rebranded to strengthen our foundation, build a resilient brand, and position ourselves for long-term growth

Dr. Muhammad Sagagi is an Economist and Development Consultant with a robust academic background and extensive experience across Nigeria’s private and public sectors. He is skilled in conducting research and diagnostic studies, designing interventions, and formulating practical development strategies. He also has in-depth training in applying the Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) principles to business environment reform.
Over the years, Dr. Sagagi has contributed to several reform programs at the federal, state, and local government levels in Nigeria, including the development of Nigeria Vision 20:2020, the Kano State Development Strategy (KN-SDS), and the Jigawa State Comprehensive Development Framework. He has also consulted for a range of respected institutions and agencies such as the Africa Programme at Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Affairs), DFID-Nigeria, and USAID.
Recently, he has worked closely with the Federal Government of Nigeria in an advisory capacity. This includes serving part-time as Vice Chairman of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC) and as a Member of the Governing Council of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI).
Dr. Sagagi has a deep understanding of Nigeria’s political economy and extensive expertise in advising on large and complex interventions. At the state level, he has conducted Political Economy Assessments for multiple programs, including:
On the USAID-funded State2State (S2S) programme, Dr. Sagagi has served in various roles, including Public Finance Management Consultant Lead, Public Policy Expert, and Political Economy Advisor, working across multiple states such as Edo, Niger, Gombe, Bauchi, Sokoto, Akwa Ibom, and Adamawa.
In addition to his public sector work, Dr. Sagagi has extensive private sector experience, having held several senior management and executive positions in Nigeria’s banking industry.

With a career spanning over a decade in the realms of commercial and microfinance banking, coupled with his expertise in strategy development, business growth, and management consulting, Abdulrauf brings a wealth of knowledge and a strategic vision to the table.
Abdulrauf's academic journey is marked by excellence, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Master of Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He furthered his academic pursuits with a Master of Developmental Studies from Bayero University Kano, as well as acquiring a Master of International Affairs and Strategic Studies and an MPhil in Leadership and Strategic Studies from the prestigious Nigeria Defence Academy in Kaduna.
His thirst for continuous learning and professional development led him to participate in several executive programs at renowned institutions such as the Kaduna Business School, Lagos Business School, and the esteemed Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he gained insights into global best practices in leadership, strategy formulation, and business management

Currently, Abdulrauf holds the position of General Manager of Strategy and Business Development at Inteliworx Technologies Limited, a leading IT services and digital transformation consulting firm headquartered in Kaduna, Nigeria. In this role, he is instrumental in shaping the company's strategic direction, identifying growth opportunities, and leveraging technology for business optimization and innovation.

During my banking career, I served in many banks in various capacities ((Assurance Bank Ltd, Bank PHB Plc., Keystone Bank Ltd, and Sterling Bank Plc). I served for 5 years as the pioneer regional manager of the North West region for the Sterling Bank Plc. Non-Interest Bank (Alternative Bank), we started the business from scratch. I was responsible for the market penetration strategy and implementation that drove business growth and delivered exceptional results.
I hold a BSC degree in Geography from Bayero University Kano and attended various courses in business strategy development, Credit and risk management, leadership, Management, Marketing, etc.
Amina Hanga is an Executive Director with the Isa Wali Empowerment Initiative (IWEI), a nonprofit organization based in Kano, Nigeria, dedicated to advancing women’s empowerment, education, and access to justice. Since 2010, she has led IWEI in pioneering safe spaces for girls, implementing economic empowerment programs, and delivering community-based legal empowerment initiatives that have reached thousands of women and girls across Northern Nigeria.
With academic training in Accounting and Development Studies, Amina combines strong expertise in financial oversight, strategic leadership, and gender advocacy. Under her stewardship, IWEI also serves as the Regional Anchor for the Grassroots Justice Network in West and Central Africa, collaborating with partners to promote legal empowerment and inclusive governance throughout the region.
Amina is a passionate advocate for gender equality and inclusive development. She brings to the board extensive experience in organizational management, policy engagement, and forging partnerships with government, civil society, and international stakeholders.
